The End
As I typed those last two words in Claimed by my Artists, I found myself unexpectedly choked up.
Finishing this sequel was bittersweet in ways I didn’t anticipate. I was ecstatic to finally give these women the happily ever after they deserved. But it also meant closing the chapter and saying goodbye to Quinn, Sadie, and Willow (and perhaps even a beautiful newcomer?). They were so fun to write. Messy. Selfish. Imperfect. Passionate. Growing.
And deserving of love.

The first novella, Shared by my Artists, was about desire. It was about falling into something intoxicating and new.
But what happens after the rush of new love fades? What happens when a dynamic shifts? When someone wants something more, or something different?
Growth was really at the heart of this book. Especially for Quinn.
She had to confront parts of herself that were comfortable but no longer fulfilling. She had to decide whether being wanted was the same as being chosen.
Sequels can be strange medias to write. I didn’t want to repeat what was already said, and didn’t want undo the magic of the first book. But you also can’t leave the characters frozen in time. And Quinn? She needed to stretch through some growing pains in the community she grew to love.
There’s more I want to say — and in fact, I did! Newsletter readers received a little bonus interview diving deeper into the creative process behind this story, and I even talk a little bit about Quinn’s backstory before the move to her new town and community.
But for now, I’ll simply say this: I’m so grateful I got to tell Quinn’s story with her fellow artists.
With Love,
Odette
